***Three months ago Finn was born in the wee hours of the morning, weighing 6 pounds even, and was 19 inches long. Today he weighs 9 pounds 15 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches long! He had surgery at 1 day old to repair a duodenal atresia and spent the first 2 weeks of his life in the NICU. Finn and I worked very hard together to learn how to make breastfeeding work for us, while he struggled and struggled to gain weight. Today, he nurses just as well as any of my other babies ever did, and he's gaining well - the proof is in the pics - look how robust and healthy he is now!
In the short time Finn has been in our family, he has filled up our hearts.

Lisa, I don't often comment, but I read your blog almost daily, and I'm thrilled with how far Finn has come! He's truly a beautiful baby...I love his "kissy face" picture and his big smile! Congrats on surviving the first 3 months!

hi- just visited for the first time and wanted to say how precious your son is.i like to remember back to this time with my daughter who also has ds. we worked hard at learning to breastfeed and once she caught on (no pun intended), we continued for about 15 months. tekeal
He is truly so adorable. He's charmed me just through photos. I can only imagine what he does to you all! :-)
