Enough

Louise of Bloom, put these two links in a comment here, but I would like to highlight them because they are so meaningful, and I hope everyone will read them and gain something from them.

I am so glad you posted these links on your blog. I missed them in the comments section. What beautiful posts and great reminders. I need to remember to be happier in my 'enough house'. Thanks!

Thank you Lisa for sharing my blogs with your readers. I also had a number of beautiful responses from your folks on my site.

I think we all long to feel that we are enough, just exactly as we are, and that's a gift we can give our kids.

I'm sick when I think of the years of speech therapy we put my son through, even though he wasn't making real gains. I imagine what it must have been like to be taken to speech therapy 4 times a week, and to have so much focus on it at home -- so that in his mind he could never live up to our expectations. He could never succeed. It wasn't a physical possibility for him, but we kept trying.

I think of all of the time spent on that, that could have been spent on enjoying my son, teaching my son, reading with my son, learning sign language, etc. etc. etc.

I look forward to hearing more about your journey with Finnian and EI. Take care! Louise
