Thoughts on Finnian by Joey, age 7

Finnian is 15 months old now. Which is one year and 3 months. My mom finished the Finnian's First Year. I got to see it. It makes me feel lucky to have a brother like him. It makes me remember when I first saw him. His birthday is only 5 days away from mine. His birthday is July 7th, 2008. Mine is July 2nd, 2002. I can't wait until Finnian is 2 years old.

As you can see, the fact that Finn has Down syndrome weighs heavily on Joey's mind. And yes, I'm being sarcastic. One of the many myths out there is that having a child with Down syndrome ruins the other children's lives. Bah! Finn's just their baby brother, that's all.
