Greetings from Finnian

Yo, Finn here. I'm getting ready to go to bed, but I wanted to share this with you all. This is the silly getup my mommy puts me in every night for bed: two - count 'em, TWO pairs of jammies, plus a sleep sack . . . and yes, those are socks on my hands. She puts those on my hands every night because she gets all sad when I wake up with cold hands. And it gets pretty cold here at night too - it's supposed to get down to 37 degrees tonight. Yup, right here in sunny SoCal. 'Course it doesn't get that cold in our house, but you'd never know it by how my mama bundles me up at night. I actually kinda like the socks . . . I put a big ol' grin on my face every night when she puts them on.
Check out my chubby cheeks, too. My mama calls them "smooshy cheeks" 'cause she likes to smoosh her face into my cheeks. It always makes me smile. When I was little, I didn't have smooshy cheeks, but I'm a big boy now. Sorta. I weigh 13 pounds 10 1/2 ounces now! I've grown a lot. That makes mama very happy.
I guess that's it for now. Night night!

Too cute! LOVE the cheeks!! My kiddos are in footie pajamas year round because of the circulation in our house. The nursery is always colder than the other rooms. I love the sock idea! I can't keep them on Sydney though... she is anti socks... whether they are on hands or feet. (we tried on the hands for scratching)

Dear Finn,

It's a good thing your Mama doesn't live out here in Indiana. Lord only knows how much she'd have to bundle you for when those night time temps go below zero! My mom isn't nearly so warm-focused as she always keeps me in the same kind of pj's and my toes and hands are exposed. But I don't mind. I can't stand to have my hands and feet covered. I need access to my thumb, man!!

Talk to you later,

Yo Finnaroonio, Grandpa Joe here. Whassup kiddo? Chubby cheeks? Uh oh. Yeah, I know, just what ya need now, huh? Big mushy people squeezing your cheeks, tellin' ya how cutesy you are. Just smile and take it big boy, it'll pay off later. Your bro's and sister's will take care of you and tell 'em off when the adults get carried away, dontcha worry Finn.

Guess what-- big bro Kevin has a birthday comming up, so get ready to party again! Meanwhile, Grandpa Joe ( that's me) loves you lots, hope to see you within a month. Can't wait to squeeze those cute cheeks! ( Just kidding)

Love, Grandpa

Cute, cute. I got one of those sleep sacks for Tess after you mentioned having one. I was getting tired of finding her feet pulled up in the middle of her sleepers.

OMG, J.T. would have melted in that much clothing and would have freaked about not being able to get his hands in his mouth. Claire, on the other hand, now sleeps under a down comforter in her big girl bed. And we keep our thermostet at 58 at night! What a good mama you are for keeping him nice and warm.
