New year, new look :) Rebecca of Rebecca Creates did my blog makeover. Isn't it gorgeous?

The photo in the header is actually an old photo of Kevin, my oldest son, who will be turning 12 years old in a few short days. The picture was taken when he was about a year and a half old, and we were visiting my dad (who passed away 10 years ago now), who lived in this wonderful log house down a country lane in the woods. That's Kevin walking down that country lane . . . confident, independent, checking out the world around him. Even though the photo is not of Finnian, it captures the feel I want this blog to have, and the hopes I have for Finn.

Please check out Rebecca's site if you're in the market for a new blog or a new blog look!

Love it. Looks great, and the pic reaaly implies this is a journey that Finnian is on.

This is Joyce. OMG - I just opened your blog and saw this picture and said "what the ...." I know we have lost a few days with sarah's computer crashing, but wow Finn is walking already....OK so I was told by the doc yesterday that I am officially in menopause and the mind may be affected...

Seriously, what an adorable photo and I do know that is exactly what Finn will be doing before you know it. I love the new design.

I was reading about the medical situation. Boy that is tough one. Confidence is so important, but traveling hundreds of miles for the same type of doctor is annoying not to mention time consumming. We have had a few friends that their boys had this same issue - not all Ds by the way - and they all had an easy recovery and described it as less traumatic than they made it out to be if that helps. Good luck - I know it so much harder when you are talking about the babe in your own arms.
