Could it be the socks???

Ever since Finn started getting sick about a month ago, sleep has gone down the crapper. Up until then, he was regularly sleeping a solid 10 hours every night, and lemme tell you, it was bliss to be sleeping so much with an actual baby in the house (well, except for Michael's snoring, but that's a whole other topic).

Well, Finn is still sick, although better than he was, I guess. His sleep habits have been awful. There are nights that he keeps me up most of the night because he's so restless and whiny. Even on a good night, though, he'll go down in his bassinet for a couple hours and then wake up and refuse to be put back down so he ends up in bed with us. And the thing is, I'm totally in favor of co-sleeping in theory. But in reality, it's not that great, at least not for me. I never sleep well with a baby in bed with me and I wake up with all kinds of kinks and aches and pains from the contorted positions I end up sleeping in to accommodate him wanting to be on the boob all night long.

So anyway. The last two nights he has slept in his bassinet all night long, only waking up once to be nursed and then allowing me to put him back down in his bassinet! And the only thing I can come up with is that I had stopped putting socks on his hands a while back, but the last 2 nights, I put socks on his hands.

Laugh if you want, but I think I'm onto something here.

Hey, I know that I can't sleep if my feet are cold, maybe Finn doesn't like cold hands? I'm of the mind that if something works, ANYTHING to get the kids to sleep.

Hey,when it comes to sleep - we do whatever works no matter if it makes sense or not.

Hey, whatever works, right? At least he won't be a thumbsucker, like two of my kids are. They'll be sucking their thumbs at their graduation, I'm sure of it.

I believe it could be the socks. If his hands are cold it could be waking him up! If it makes you feel better we put sicks on G's hands for 6 months so she wouldn't pull her NG tube out (and I am talking almost all day and night!!!)
