The culprit

Yup, Finn's sick now. So I guess that mopeyness over the last few days was the incubation period. I'm not sure if it's just a cold or the flu. No fever, but the listlessness and icky green snot as of this morning. I was up with him for half the night (and this is a boy who has been consistently sleeping through the night for a month or two now); he was just whiny and restless all night, wouldn't nurse, and didn't finally settle until the sun was coming up this morning, I kid you not. He seems a little perkier now, but still the snot. I'm dreading this cold/flu season. Remember how sick he was all the time last winter? And I worry a great deal about Michael getting sick, which is a real danger with how the chemo has stripped him of an immune system.

Also, I've been working with Finn on supported standing, and the last few days he's regressed and has spaghetti legs. I'm trying not to worry too much - it's probably just because he's not feeling well, right?

Sorry to hear he is sick - Larry and I are too but just with colds...how do we get sick without the kids being sick??? Ah well, at least I am not having to tend to them too :) I am sure his unwillingness to stand is due to him feeling crappy, I know all I want to do is lay around when I feel crummy! Hopefully you are doing ok and M is feeling ok too...talk to you soon. L

Don't worry about him not standing right now. When Maia (4 years old) gets really sick she stops talking and walking and sometimes regresses to earlier not so nice behaviours like throwing things. Hope he gets better soon.

Sorry to hear he's not so well. We are nearing the end of winter here and there has been so much snot it's unbelievable! My kids get more still when sick, don't worry. On the positive side, out SLT says speech often develops when kids are sick as they are more still and spend lots of time with parents being cuddled etc and the speech can take off, so here's hoping she's right :)

I hope he feels better soon, poor lil' guy!

I'm betting on the sickness being the culprit of the noodle legs. Neither of my kids care to cooperate when they are feeling blah. Hope Finn is better (and sleeping again) soon.

Aw, Lisa, I barely recognize my son when he isn't feeling well. Finn is okay. Claire brought the "bug" home from pre-school, was over it in less that 48 hours, and the rest of us have had the green snot nastiness for almost a week now. :-( Hugs all around.

Sorry to hear that Finn is sick. We are all sick too. I too am dreading the flu season. I just went and stocked up on some natural immune boosters. Yes last year Wysdom got RSV and was on an iv for a week-so hoping for a better season for us all. Hope he feels better
