When reading this, I almost feel selfish...I can honestly not complain about anything that was so terrible in my life, because it cannot compare. You are so strong...one of the strongest women I have ever known (besides my own mother). Like my mother, you both give your children the most amazing life. Yeah, you will always think can I do better, and honestly, you can't, because you are already there, in that "better" place with them.

Anonymous said...: Thank you for sharing your story Lisa. I had a similar (although not nearly as tough) childhood and it pains me to remember how it felt to be treated that way. This is why we make such good moms today - because we saw what "not to do". I can't wait to read the rest of the interview.
