Lisa, that is truly an amazing story. When reading this, I almost feel selfish...I can honestly not complain about anything that was so terrible in my life, because it cannot compare. You are so strong...one of the strongest women I have ever known (besides my own mother). Like my mother, you both give your children the most amazing life. Yeah, you will always think can I do better, and honestly, you can't, because you are already there, in that "better" place with them.

Thank you for sharing. You have really humbled me.

Thank you for sharing your story Lisa. I had a similar (although not nearly as tough) childhood and it pains me to remember how it felt to be treated that way. This is why we make such good moms today - because we saw what "not to do". I can't wait to read the rest of the interview.
